Panda 3 7

Happy Birthday to my now-24-year-old friend Panda here in Bangkok.


Although this looks a lot like the previous release, actually a ton has been added to it.
I have redone the cheeks completely.
I have touched up every single part of the previous drawing in some way.
I have added a lot of contrast by using my 6B more and almost got out my charcoal once (but decided against it).
I added the hair to the left side (her right) and touched up the headband and the top hair.
I fixed her teeth.
I fixed a lot of the shading scales over her entire face but not on the forehead.

I had this professionally scanned at Fujifilm. Their scanner picks up the white of the paper much better, but that has had an impact on the quality of my drawing. I have been using my old scanner as a reference for the final values. So on her forehead, I did not draw at all on the shiny spot, because I knew that after I scanned it it would be the correct value in the final image.
But now that the scan quality is better some of the areas on her face are too white.
I will just have to go over them and make them the correct values.
But at least now I know I can get a final scan with the actual values on my paper, will the full range from my darkest darks to my whitest whites.
Now I can make a quality drawing.


Pencils: 6B-4H.
Paper: Art Paper.
Eraser: Kneaded.
Smudging: None.
Duration: 9 months and counting.

This will be moved to scraps if I ever decide to release an updated version of it.
